Christ Church Newcastle is an evangelical church in Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Planted in 2006, we are affiliated to the FIEC, with a normal Sunday attendance around 230.

Situated north of Byker and east of Jesmond, Heaton is a large, socially diverse area, within walking distance of Newcastle city centre.  Within Heaton there are five primary schools, and a high school with 2000 students (misleadingly called Jesmond Park Academy).

Christ Church’s children’s ministry has grown significantly in the past couple of years, with 30+ Preschool, 25+ Primary, and 15 in high-school. We have a dedicated team of capable volunteers who serve the children sacrificially and faithfully.

We are looking to appoint a youth, children & families worker who will be committed to:

• our vision of joyfully loving & living for Jesus
• what we believe to be true, captured in our doctrinal basis
• loving the children and young people God has given us
• equipping & supporting our parents
• helping us as a church family engage the thousands of children and young people in our area with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ

This post is full-time, although part-time working would be an option, and comes with a salary between £25,146 – £34,580 (pro-rata) depending on experience. Applications close 27th October.
