Who is it for?
The Crosslands Seminary Student Workers (SW) track is for those who specialise in ministry amongst students, usually based in the local church, who may not yet have had any formal theological formation. In some cases these workers will be training as part of their growth towards more senior church leadership roles. For others the need is to be equipped with strong biblical and theological understanding, gospel character, and practical ministry skills for ministry amongst students who face significant intellectual and cultural opposition in an educational environment that is often hostile to the gospel. Either way the Student Worker track offers a rounded, in-depth theological formation but with the specific perspectives, challenges and opportunities of ministering to those living in a highly secularised context in mind.
What does the course cover?
The Student Worker (SW) track will follow a similar pattern of modules as that of the main Crosslands Seminary programme. However for every module there will be reading, assignment choices, and tutorials that have been specifically designed for those involved in working with Student work. SW students will also have two unique modules focused on practical aspects of SW, and will have access to support and mentoring from experienced Student Workers.

Where would my tutor group be?
Depending on how many people enrol for the Student Worker track, you would either be assigned to a dedicated tutor group led by a tutor with experience in student ministry, or assigned to a ‘core’ tutor group but with additional input and engagement from experienced student workers and specialists in cultural engagement. If a dedicated Student Worker tutor group is created, it would not necessarily meet somewhere geographically close to you, but there will always be the opportunity to participate virtually in seminar days. Either way you will also have access to a network of others with deep experience in similar ministries, as a resource for prayer, support and sharing ideas.
